Brand Kickstart Workshops
FAST, SUCCESSFUL & COST-EFFECTIVE BRAND DEVELOPMENT
“I thought developing a brand would entail endless emails, and I was expecting a sloggy, drawn-out back-and-forth. Laura created a generative, collaborative, and totally delightful experience and every time I look at my logo I have a mini-swoon.”
–Dani Cirignano, founder of Self Made
I’ve been designing for more than 20 years. That’s a long time! These two decades have taught me that I have a special talent for the first ten percent of any project. I can bring my rocket boosters to the table to help others make their visions into reality, and I really enjoy it.
During peak COVID, when corporate projects were mostly sidelined, I started doing kitchen table branding sessions with friends who are entrepreneurs like me.
Instead of lobbing rounds of options back and forth over email, we sat down and actively concepted and designed together. This helped me really get a sense of them — almost their energy or frequency — and translate it into visual imagery. This collaborative approach kept me from straying even an inch from my client’s vision or taste. Over months I’ve also created a series of handy proprietary worksheets to support common needs like naming, pitch deck creation, etc.
If you’ve got a great idea and need some help bringing it to life, I’d love to learn more. Drop me a line!

- 1 follow up call
- Up to 30 total emails (sent and received)
- Additional calls, emails, revisions at a pro-rated rate
LÄKA, an herbal products brand
Herbalist Emmet Grahn wanted branding for her herbal products that conveyed elegance and quality as well as a respect for the natural world.
Super Bicycle, an electric bike festival
Influential bike shop the New Wheel came to me asking for a branding for an electric bike festival. They let me name the event as well as creating the logo and some collateral. You can read more about the project here.
Siren Fish Co., a community supported fishery
Fishmonger Anna Larsen and I leaned on the typeface Archer, originally created for Martha Stewart, to create a high quality food brand with nautical vibes.
Self Made, a modern recovery community
Self Made is a new recovery program from Dani Cirignano that utilizes community and creativity to help people improve their relationships to substances. We wanted to show creativity and interdependence in the mark.
Reiki Patio, my own healing arts practice
Just like great food, great design is easy to make with quality ingredients. I’ve enjoyed creating a variety of materials for my Reiki studio, including a fourteen foot mural, based on the use of scalloped edges and a custom color palette. The printing of these oversized business cards was expertly done by H&H in SF.
